It is $25 per participant to help cover some of the cost of the Easter basket items. (You get a basket with more than $25 in value.) This is just a fun ride and day, not an extensive trail ride. You basically ride until you find a ribbon or as long as you want. We then go to my neighbor’s house and he feeds us. I will have a “new” place to ride this year. Woohoo! Please RSVP to Marillyn by March 30th so she can have enough baskets prepared. Feel free to bring prospective members, family, or friends! “Rain date” make-up ride will be April 20th.
If anyone is interested in volunteering for western heritage day at Hardin-Simmons, they are looking for people to show kids how to rope (like 1st graders). In the past HSU students who don’t know how to rope have helped but they’d love to have “real cowgirls/boys” come to show how it’s done.
It is Thursday April 25th 8 am- noon. Over 2000 kids are already signed up.
Other western things to show the kids are also open for suggestion. The six white horses will have a farrier working on them for one of the stations.
