The list may take a minute or so to load. There are a lot of events!
The Fox Parade of Lights is a beautiful way to bring in the Christmas season! Join us as we light up our horses for a bright and festive parade!
The parade starts at 6:30. We like to get there early for lineup, help with polos, get our woohoos out and get used to the event noise, lights and congestion. This event is best suited for seasoned parade horses. Thankfully, no candy will be allowed to be tossed.
We will wear Santa hats or helmet , dark jeans, boots, pink gloves and the following 40SC parade attire:
Pink shirt, pink polos, black jacket, black saddle blanket
Join our Cowgirls for a fun evening and fellowship during the Potosi Community Center monthly potluck and game night. At 5:30 potluck begins with games to follow. This is a great monthly event that has been going steady for years. Don’t be shy! Bring a dish to share.
Its time for the annual Christmas Toy Ride. The only fee for this ride is an unwrapped toy. Santa will be there for pictures and is bringing briskett for lunch. So bring your favorite side dish to share. If you’re camping, you can join in even more fun with an outdoor movie, smores, and popcorn on Friday night.
Christmas Party at Princess Dawn’s house. We’re collecting toys to ship to NC for the kids who’s homes were destroyed in Hurricane Helene. So bring a toy, a gift for the Chinese Christmas game and a potluck dish to share.
Merry Christmas and let’s celebrate with our Marvelous Maverick Cowgirl sisters!
BK Hack has generously offered her Barn at Wayward Crossing to hold our annual Christmas party!
We will have a cookie exchange! Bring 1-2 dozen homemade cookies with copies of the recipe to share.
We will have a sock exchange as well! Bring a pair of festive socks with 1 sock stuffed with goodies. We will play a game for the exchange.
Throughout November, earn D & L bucks by shopping at any of their locations. Then, come to the Buckstravaganza to spend those bucks. Its a festive time with music, food, and animals. Go to their fb page and answer the questions every Tuesday to earn 300 bucks for each answer.
A Western Store? For a Roundup? But that’s weird, right? WRONG! Dennard’s Christmas time VIP sale is off the chain! They serve free food and drinks and I don’t mean little appetizers while you shop. I mean beef and chicken with all the sides. One year they grilled up a whole bunch of filet mignon! Last year was briskett and sausage. Whatever they have is gonna be good and then after dinner you can take advantage of the phenomenal sale they have going on. And they just about doubled the tack and clothing sections, recently.
Join us for an evening of dinner, drinks, live music, and an auction for a worthy cause. Doors open at 5pm, dinner at 6pm, and show from 7-10pm. family friendly
We’re joining in on the fun for the annual Lake Ray Roberts Equestrian Trails Association Christmas ride and party. LRRETA raises money, collects grants, and works to keep the equestrian trails at Lake Ray Roberts open and useful. We’ll ride out at 10 am, come back for lunch and a white elephant gift exchange. Bring a gift and a potluck dish to share.
We’ll ride the trails at 4 Winds Ranch in beautiful St Jo, Tx. We’ll have lunch on the trail, where Darrell Bryant will be doing some chuckwagon cooking, making us Fisher’s meat market sausage with peppers and onions on buns. Then we’ll ride back. There are several wineries nearby if anyone wants to go afterward. The only cost is a toy or monetary donation to benefit the Montague Children’s Welfare and a little $ to help Darrell cover the cost of the food.
